I've always led an active lifestyle: motocross, bmx racing, softball, volleyball, hiking, running, camping, water skiing, and snowboarding. So when my doctor at the Mayo Clinic said my cholesterol was high I was dumbfounded. "But I excercise at least 5 times a week! How could I have any medical issues at all!?!"... The next question from my doctor started me an a quest and that question was..... "Well what are you eating?"
Shortly after that visit I was introduced to a documentary that would change the way I look at food for the rest of my life. Check out "Forkes over Knives" on Hulu.
Since transforming my diet I've experienced a drastic increase in energy, I sleep better, and I'm able to concentrate longer. I've noticed my workouts are easier and getting ready for bathing suit season was a breeze.
This year I began a journey to transform my
life and live happily, and changing my eating habbits has been a huge factor in attaining my goal. I've eliminated animal products from my diet almost completely. moderation is key, so if I feel like a quesadilla on the weekend I go for it. My body and my mind are only as healthy as
what I put into both of them.
